a death in the desert
My “A death in the desert” collection is an elegy to the austere and haunting beauty of the high desert where I lived and photographed for many years. My deep love of the solitude, light, and vastness of the desert landscape made me acutely aware that the forces of climate change were escalating and that the leaders of our society were refusing to address this acceleration. These changes finally became so devastating to me that I have moved to the Pacific Northwest, where our dying planet is less in evidence. “A death in the desert” has won several international awards including the prestigious Salon Art Prize in London.
